Los Angeles Fringe Festival
(September 1987)

EZTV and KPFK collaborate to present a live computer chat with Arthur C. Clarke in Sri Lanka as part of The Los Angeles Fringe Festival. It was just one of 11 projects in the festival involving EZTV and one of many collaborations with artists and art events in Los Angeles.

This event takes place one year before the invention of the first online computer chat software. Questions were typed into the computer and relayed back and forth to Clarke by satellite. Clarke's answers were read live on the air on KPFK, a Los Angeles radio station.
